REQ14828 Assistant Manager, Anti-Money Laundering Compliance (Open)
Position Summary
The Assistant Manager, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance is responsible for the implementation of the Company's AML Program. In particular, the Assistant Manager, AML Compliance is responsible for the implementation of the Company's processes, procedures and compliance activities relating to the conduct of customer due diligence, monitoring and review of gaming promoter-related transactions and activities, the implementation of the Company's AML training and awareness programs, and the supervision of Senior Specialist, AML Compliance assigned to perform tasks falling within these areas of operation of the Company's AML Compliance Office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Reports to the Manager, AML Compliance and coordinates with the Director, Compliance
- Coordinates, monitors, and reviews the Senior Specialist's working papers, analyses, reports, and other work output relating to the monitoring and review of gaming promoter-related transactions and activities
- Intervenes, corrects and/or addresses mistakes and inaccuracies in the work or output of Senior Specialists
- Develops processes, procedures, processes, formulas, parameters, and typologies for the efficient monitoring and review of gaming promoter-related transactions and activities, and the detection and reporting of reportable transactions relating to gaming promoters
- Generates, collates, reviews and analyzes data to determine whether a gaming promoter-related transaction or activity should be reported as a suspicious transaction
- Reviews gaming promoter-related transactions and related data to identify covered transactions and potential suspicious activity through automated and manual processes
- Assists in the preparation and submission of covered and suspicious transaction reports Ensures deadlines pertaining to the monitoring and review of gaming promoter-related transactions and activities are met Issues gaming promoter-related exception reports
- Primarily responsible for and oversees the conduct of customer due diligence, investigations and research, and sanctions screening
- Coordinates, monitors, and reviews the Senior Specialists KYC-related working papers, analyses, reports, and other work output relating to transaction monitoring and review Issues customer due diligence-related exception reports
- Responsible for the conduct, facilitation and monitoring of AML trainings, and the regular review and updating of training materials
- Creates, develops and manages databases relating to customer due diligence
- Conducts AML-related compliance checks and audits relating to transaction monitoring and review
- Assists in ensuring the Company's compliance with record-keeping requirements under the law, regulations, and Company policies
- Prepares reports for the Director, Compliance Liaises and coordinates with regulators, auditors, and internal and external stakeholders
- Responsible for the escalation and monitoring of the resolution of issues relating to the Company's systems used for name screening and customer due diligence (i.e., RA Tool, World Check, etc.)
Key Performance Indicators
- Timely completion of customer due diligence tasks and transaction reviews.
- Timely escalation of covered transactions and suspicious transactions for the preparation of the required regulatory reports.
- Timely preparation of covered and suspicious transaction reports.
- Timely conduct of AML-related trainings and awareness activities.
- Effective communication with superiors, peers, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience
Minimum two (2) years of experience in compliance, accounting or audit. Casino experience is an advantage.
Education
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications.
- Relevant training in AML fundamentals, and name and sanctions screening.
- AML compliance certification or other AML-related training is an advantage.
Skills / Competencies
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of MS Office products, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently, with less supervision and to meet reporting time frames.
- Ability to resolve issues/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
