Job Description
As an Assistant Loan Processor, you will support the end-to-end mortgage process by reviewing loan documents, coordinating with stakeholders, tracking conditions, and preparing files for underwriting and funding. The Qualifications We Seek
- At least 1 to 5 years of proven experience processing U.S. mortgage loans
- Strong knowledge of mortgage documentation, underwriting conditions, and loan processing workflows
- Familiarity with Conventional, FHA, and/or VA loan processes
- Experience using Loan Origination Systems such as Encompass or similar platforms
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment
- High accountability when handling sensitive financial data
- Experience supporting U.S.-based mortgage brokers or lenders in an offshore setup is an advantage
- Understanding of U.S. compliance standards and mortgage terminology
- Exposure to condition management and pre-underwriting processes
Your Daily Tasks
- Assist senior processors in managing mortgage loan pipelines from submission to funding
- Review loan applications and supporting documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Order and track appraisals, title reports, insurance, and verifications
- Prepare and organize loan files for underwriting submission and condition clearing
- Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, and internal stakeholders to resolve outstanding conditions
- Follow up on borrower documentation and ensure milestone timelines
- Maintain accurate records in LOS and CRM systems
- Perform data entry, document indexing, and file audits
- Support compliance with U.S. mortgage regulations, company policies, and investor guidelines
- Provide administrative and operational support to improve processing efficiency
