Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Assistant Manager – Finance/Accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Finance/Accounting Director and President/General Manager, ensuring timely and accurate execution of assigned responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
- Coordinate with the company's external accountant by preparing and providing documentary requirements for financial statement preparation and responding to related inquiries
- Assist in facilitating and monitoring tax filing activities and other government compliance requirements
- Process and maintain accurate records of company expenses, purchases, sales, and collections
- Handle banking transactions, including telegraphic transfers, online banking activities, and preparation of checks for approval and signature
- Support inventory monitoring and control in coordination with the Supply Chain team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or any related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role for CPA candidates; or
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role for non-CPA candidates
- Strong knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance processes
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with NetSuite, accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage
Technical & Functional Competencies:
General Ledger & Financial Accounting Operations
- Expertise in managing full-cycle day-to-day bookkeeping, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and payroll processing.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate transactional records for expenses, sales, purchases, and collections.
Tax Compliance & Statutory Reporting
- Knowledge of local tax filing processes and government compliance requirements.
- Experience liaising with external accountants/auditors by preparing and organizing audit-ready supporting documents and schedules.
Treasury & Banking Administration
- Practical capability in handling corporate banking operations, including check preparation, online banking platforms, and executing telegraphic transfers (wire transfers).
Inventory Accounting & Supply Chain Coordination
- Skill in performing inventory monitoring and control reconciliation in close collaboration with supply chain operations.
Professional & Managerial Competencies:
Executive Communication & Reporting
- Ability to translate operational financial data into accurate, concise reports for C-suite leadership (Finance/Accounting Director and President/General Manager).
Cross-Functional & External Stakeholder Coordination
- Strategic coordination across internal departments (Supply Chain, Operations) and external representatives (Tax authorities, banking partners, external auditing firms).
Attention to Detail & Record-Keeping Integrity
- High level of accuracy in documentation, audit trail management, and data integrity across financial systems.
Pay: From PHP 60,000.00 per month
