Job Description

The Assistant Events Manager, supervised by the Director of Sales, is responsible for business development and account management to maximize event-related opportunities for the resort. The role ensures timely client communication and oversees the smooth execution of FIT and group requirements through proper coordination and adherence to The Lind Boracay's policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Supervise and guide Events Sales Executives in event planning and execution.
  • Review and approve BEOs and GIS before turnover to Operations.
  • Secure contracts, finalize event details with clients, and provide professional event setup advice.
  • Disseminate event information to departments and lead pre-event coordination meetings.
  • Coordinate with departments regarding event requirements and last-minute changes.
  • Ensure presence during events to oversee operations and maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Review Master A/C postings and billing details to avoid invoice adjustments.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through timely communication and sales calls.
  • Develop new accounts and implement sales strategies based on market plans.
  • Attend trade shows, promotional activities, and client site inspections.
  • Update clients on renovations, changes, and personnel updates.
  • Maximize upselling and identify new market trends for improvement.
  • Source necessary event materials and suppliers.
  • Keep organized client records and ensure timely report submission.
  • Follow proper documentation standards and maintain a lead tracing system.
  • Assist in collection of deposits and payments.
  • Contribute to the marketing plan and participate in department meetings.
  • Monitor wait-listed bookings to maximize revenue.
  • Join daily sales briefings and report achievements, issues, and competitor updates.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 year experience in related position
  • Professional Appearance
  • Confident in sense of personal style;
  • Hospitality/Tourism or other Business Management related course;
  • Can work effectively under time pressure;
  • Must be flexible to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Possess positive personality;
  • Willing to work long hours;
