Company Description Hostel provides apartment-style accommodations for executives attending the Business and Management School (IAE) at Universidad Austral. The property is designed to offer comfortable, secure, and well-maintained living spaces that support a productive academic and professional experience. Services focus on convenience, cleanliness, and a welcoming environment for guests during their stay. The team is dedicated to delivering reliable support and a high standard of hospitality. Hostel aims to create a home-like atmosphere where guests can focus on their studies and work.
Role Description The Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Talisay. The Assistant supports day-to-day hostel operations, including welcoming guests, assisting with check-in and check-out, and responding to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. Responsibilities include coordinating room readiness, reporting maintenance needs, helping ensure cleanliness and order in common areas, and supporting inventory tracking for supplies. The Assistant may also handle basic administrative tasks such as updating records, managing reservations, and communicating schedules or guidelines to guests. This role works closely with the hostel management team to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-organized environment for all residents.
Qualifications

  • Hospitality and customer service skills, including experience assisting guests, handling inquiries, and providing courteous, solution-oriented support.
  • Organizational and time management skills to coordinate daily operations, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accurate records.
  • Basic administrative and computer skills, such as using email, office software, and reservation or booking systems.
  • Communication skills in spoken and written English; additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Talisay, collaborate with a small team, and follow established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Prior experience in hospitality, property management, or a related service role is preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality, business, or administration is an asset.
