Role Description The Assistant Area Manager (Restaurant) is a full-time, on-site role based in Mabalacat. This role supports the Area Manager in overseeing daily operations across assigned restaurant locations, ensuring consistent service standards, food quality, and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include supervising staff, assisting with scheduling and hiring, monitoring inventory and supplies, and helping implement company policies and procedures. The Assistant Area Manager collaborates with restaurant teams to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, addresses customer concerns, and helps drive sales and operational efficiency. The role also involves coaching team members, supporting training initiatives, and promoting Makimura's people-first culture and values.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills to ensure a positive guest experience and handle feedback effectively.
  • Candidates should possess Communication skills to coordinate with staff and leadership, provide clear instructions, and maintain professional interactions with guests.
  • Candidates should possess Hiring and basic people management skills to support recruitment, onboarding, and team development.
  • Candidates should possess Food & Beverage knowledge, including basic restaurant operations, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include prior supervisory experience in restaurants or hospitality, familiarity with shift scheduling and inventory management, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative leadership style, and commitment to an inclusive, people-first workplace are highly valued.
  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is an advantage but not required if there is equivalent relevant experience.
