Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We're looking for an Assistant Accountant III – General Ledger to join our ever-evolving Accounting Team and help shape the future of global commerce.
In this role, you'll play an important part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records across a global organization. You'll support critical accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close, financial analysis, and audit support.

What You'll Own
General Ledger & Financial Accounting
- Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation to ensure transactions are accurately recorded in the General Ledger.
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies, aged items, and unusual balances.
- Analyze financial data and account movements, identifying variances and supporting the timely resolution of accounting issues.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and well-supported accounting records across assigned entities and accounts.
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities in line with established reporting calendars and deadlines.
- Ensure assigned accounting activities and deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and analyses required for financial reporting.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve outstanding accounting issues and improve the quality of financial data.
- Help maintain strong financial transparency and reporting accuracy across multiple entities.
Reconciliations, Analysis & Issue Resolution
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate differences between General Ledger balances and supporting records.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify unusual trends, discrepancies, or potential reporting risks.
- Proactively follow up with relevant stakeholders to obtain supporting information and resolve outstanding items.
- Apply sound accounting judgment and escalate complex issues when appropriate.
Controls, Compliance & Audit Support
- Support compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and internal control requirements.
- Maintain complete and organized documentation to support audit readiness and efficient retrieval of accounting records.
- Assist with internal and external audit requirements, including the preparation of schedules and supporting documentation.
- Contribute to maintaining a strong financial governance and control environment.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with Accounting, Finance, and cross-functional stakeholders to support accurate and efficient financial processes.
- Build strong working relationships with global teams and communicate accounting matters clearly and professionally.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reduce manual effort, and strengthen the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
- Support process improvement initiatives and contribute ideas that enhance the overall effectiveness of the Accounting function.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- At least 4 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, General Ledger accounting, financial reporting, audit, or a related accounting function.
- Proven experience preparing journal entries, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting month-end close activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies, evaluate financial data, and drive timely resolution.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when working with financial information and accounting records.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
It's a Bonus If You Have
- Experience working in a multi-entity, multinational, or shared services accounting environment.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SOX controls, and internal control frameworks.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP Financials.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial data analysis.
- Experience supporting accounting process improvements, automation, or finance transformation initiatives.
