At Gallagher, we are united by a commitment to excellence and innovation. As an Assistant Accountant based in Singapore, you will play a vital role in supporting our Finance team. How You'll Make An Impact

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth financial operations of our Singapore office. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Recording receipts and payments of premium and claims monies in the cashbook.
  • Reviewing and applying exchange rates for non-banking currencies.
  • Conducting monthly reconciliation of bank accounts not handled directly.
  • Liaising with brokers, cedants, and third parties to allocate payments to the correct receivable accounts.
  • Maintaining records of Cash on Account (COA) and ensuring clearance within 60 days.
  • Preparing overdue ageing receivable reports and sharing them with brokers monthly.
  • Computing monthly brokerage earned by the first week of the following month.
  • Adhering to compliance, operational risk controls, and regulatory standards.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

About You

  • A diploma or higher qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • A meticulous approach with a strong sense of integrity.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
