Asset Management Superintendent (Assistant Manager)

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of the largest coal producer in the Philippines.

Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager – Asset Management Superintendent to oversee reliability and maintenance management within a coal‑fired power plant environment. The role goes beyond conventional maintenance planning, encompassing equipment lifecycle management, asset performance monitoring, and strategic reliability initiatives to ensure long‑term operational efficiency and cost optimization.

This position is based in Calaca, Batangas, with a compressed onsite work schedule. The client is open to considering candidates from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, and is prepared to provide housing and travel support as needed.

Key responsibilities:

• Life cycle cost analysis and equipment lifecycle management.
• Work order management and analysis, particularly preventive maintenance.
• Asset performance monitoring.
• Maintenance planning and preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Equipment replacement and condition assessment.
• Spare parts and PPR validation.
• Budget preparation.
• Outage management.
• Coordination with maintenance, operations, planning, procurement, and finance.
• Managing and working with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers.

Key requirements:

• Experience in a coal-fired power plant or a closely related power generation environment is preferred
• Must have strong background in asset management, reliability engineering, maintenance strategy, and equipment lifecycle management. 
• Experience in ISO 55001, reliability-centered maintenance, predictive maintenance, and root cause analysis
• Strong people management and team leadership experiences
• Ability to lead in a technically demanding, plant-based environment
