As a Portfolio Analysis Vice President in the Portfolio Analysis Group, you will oversee performance measurement and attribution processes and deliver risk/return insights that support investment and client reporting needs. You will interpret results, provide clear analytical commentary, and help develop scalable solutions as the business and product coverage grows. You will partner closely with portfolio managers, investment specialists, operations, and reporting partners to ensure data integrity and high-quality outputs.
Job responsibilities
- Lead infrastructure and process improvement initiatives to enhance performance measurement, attribution, and reporting capabilities
- Partner with stakeholders to understand analysis and reporting needs, build strong working relationships, and support a high-quality service experience
- Interpret performance and attribution results and produce clear commentary for a range of portfolio strategies
- Deliver regular and ad hoc risk and return analysis to support portfolio insights and decision-making
- Oversee performance measurement and attribution calculations for funds and investment accounts, including development of repeatable reporting solutions
- Monitor data quality and perform comparisons across calculation sources to identify breaks, investigate drivers, and document outcomes
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in performance and attribution measurement
- Experience analyzing fixed income products, including structured products and derivatives
- Knowledge of asset management products and client types, with understanding of portfolio accounting principles and performance/attribution methodologies
- Quantitative analysis skills and demonstrated problem-solving ability in complex data environments
- Communication skills to lead discussions, present analytical results, and influence stakeholders across a matrixed organization
- Relationship management skills to build productive partnerships across multiple teams
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting
- Exposure to multi-asset coverage, including equities, fixed income, multi-asset portfolios, and funds
- Experience with issue resolution and root cause analysis, including researching and resolving issues within agreed timelines
- Experience leading teams through the adoption of AI-enabled analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to improve operational efficiency and accuracy, reduce manual effort, and support consistent, well-controlled execution through coaching, change adoption, and continuous improvement.
