Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting and asset management functions
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Strong background in fixed asset reconciliations, depreciation, capitalization, disposals, and asset lifecycle management
- Knowledge of asset accounting principles, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end accounting processes
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong attention to detail and reporting accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced operational environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across finance and operational teams
- Highly organized, analytical, and solutions-focused with strong time management capabilities
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process purchase orders and sales invoices for assets
- Generate monthly reports on asset sales and purchases
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations
- Perform monthly reconciliation of the Fixed Asset Register with the NetSuite general ledger
- Review, allocate, and approve invoices for capitalization
- Complete monthly journals and general ledger reconciliations related to fixed assets
- Maintain accurate asset records to support financial reporting and audit requirements
- Update asset data in InspHire and reconcile records across systems
- Maintain records in the Personal Property Securities Register
- Collaborate with the fleet management team to provide timely financial insights
- Support ad hoc asset management and reporting tasks
