AS400/MIDAS Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced AS400/MIDAS Engineer to design, develop, configure, and support applications aligned with business requirements. The role will work across AS400, RPGLE, SQL, DB2, MQ, and IBM WebSphere, with a focus on application development, troubleshooting, optimization, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain applications on AS400/MIDAS environments.
• Develop and support applications using CL/RPGLE, SQL, and DB2.
• Work with IBM MQ and WebSphere for application integration and support.
• Analyze business and application requirements and implement appropriate technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Optimize application performance and support performance tuning activities.
• Apply security and compliance best practices.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure quality and attention to detail.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience as an AS400/MIDAS Engineer or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM AS400 / IBM i.
• Strong technical knowledge of CL/RPGLE.
• Strong SQL and DB2 experience.
• Experience with IBM MQ.
• Experience with IBM WebSphere.
• Strong application troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in system optimization and performance tuning.
• Good understanding of security best practices and compliance.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of Java.
• Experience with MDCMS source control.
• Knowledge of Clearing and Settlements for Securities Trades.
• Experience with Corporate Actions, FX, Money Market, and General Ledger processes.
• Background in financial services or banking applications
