Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales growth, managing multiple teams and territories, and ensuring operational excellence across assigned areas. This role focuses on achieving revenue targets, developing high-performing sales teams, and executing strategic initiatives in fast-paced environments such as ISP and FMCG industries.

Requirements
1. Industry Experience
· Minimum 5-8 years of Area Sales / Territory Sales / Sales Manager experience in ISP, FMCG, or high-volume distribution.
· Demonstrated experience leading multiple sales teams/locations and delivering area-level targets.
2. Team Leadership
· Proven track record managing Sales Managers and field teams minimum 5 years .
· Experience setting and achieving KPIs such as sales value, distribution coverage, dealer/retailer activation, and retention (as applicable).
3. Sales Performance & Reporting
· Strong experience working with daily/weekly/monthly sales dashboards.
· Ability to build and execute data-driven action plans (pipeline management, lead conversion, channel-wise performance).
4. Operational Compliance & Controls
· Experience ensuring process compliance across teams.
· Strong understanding of documentation, audit readiness, sales processes, and reporting discipline (as applicable).
5. Market & Route-to-Market Understanding
· Experience improving market penetration and coverage using route planning and territory execution.
6. Field Leadership
· Demonstrated capability to conduct regular field visits, ride-alongs, coaching sessions, and performance management.
· Ability to identify execution gaps in the field and correct them quickly.
7. Communication, Negotiation & Stakeholder Management
· Ability to influence channel partners, internal stakeholders, and senior management.
· Strong negotiation skills for business development and commercial closures.
8. Education & Certifications (Optional but Strong)
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Financial Mgt, or related field (preferred).
· Relevant certifications ( an advantage): Sales Management, Telecom/ISP Sales, Distribution Management, or Leadership training.
