About The Client (AU)
A specialist design-and-build firm focused exclusively on pharmacy fitouts in Western Australia. We are looking for a detail‐oriented Design Drafter to support our lead designer by handling the bulk of the documentation and drawing
work—freeing up senior staff to focus on client-facing design, strategy, and 3D concept work.This is a long‐term role with the potential to become the primary designer over time if the fit is strong.
Key Responsibilities- Drawing & DocumentationDrawing & Documentation
- Produce detailed 2D drawings for pharmacy fitouts, including:
- Floor plans (based on finalized layouts provided by the lead designer)
- Elevations and internal joinery details
- Reflected ceiling plans, basic services locations (where required)
- Translate finalized floor plans and design intent into:
- Full documentation sets for client revie
- Issue‐ready drawings for internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare and manage drawing revisions across multiple review rounds (typicallyup to three client review cycles per project).
- Design Support & Detailing
- Interpret design briefs, sketches, and mark‐ups from the lead designer anddirector and convert them into accurate, buildable documentation.
- Apply Shane's high documentation standards and follow established checklists,templates, and QA processes
- Ensure drawings reflect:
- Agreed floor plans and internal layouts
- Selected finishes, colours, and material.
- Practical detailing suited to pharmacy operations.
- Workflow, Quality & Consistency
- Work within a structured, repeatable design process:
- Receive finalized plan + design direction
- Produce initial documentation set
- Incorporate feedback and manage multiple review iterations
- Maintain high accuracy and consistency across all projects, ensuring work canprogress even when the director is off‐site.
- Proactively flag issues, clashes, or missing information that could affectbuildability or compliance.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate closely with:
- Director (Shane) - design lead and key decision‐maker
- In‐house designer - who will focus increasingly on 3D and higher‐leveldesign work.
- Participate in handover and knowledge‐transfer sessions to understand:
- Existing project standards
- Typical details, preferred solutions, and best practices in pharmacy design
- Communicate clearly in English (written and spoken), including:
- Clarifying briefs
- Confirming assumptions
- Providing status updates on multiple live projects.
MustHave- Strong skills in CAD (e.g., AutoCAD, or similar) and standard design
- Demonstrated experience producing:
- Floor plans, elevations, and joinery details
- Clear, accurate documentation for commercial interiors or retailenvironments.
- High attention to detail and ability to follow strict standards, checklists, andtemplates.
- Ability to handle the mundane but mission‐critical documentation tasks reliablyand consistently.
- Strong organisational skills; able to manage several projects and multiplerevision rounds concurrently.
- Reliable, consistent attendance and delivery.
Niceto have
- Experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or medical interior fitouts.
- Familiarity with Australian building standards; WA experience is a plus.
- Basic 3D skills (e.g., SketchUp, Revit, etc.) are a bonus but not the main focus of this role.
- Experience working in a remote / offshore team supporting Australian clients.
Work Schedule (Dayshift)
- Monday to Friday (7AM-4PM; Manila Time)
Work Setup (WFH)
- Permanent Homebased
- Candidate's are expected to have a conducive (quiet, distraction-free) dedicated workspace
- Equipment will be provided by the company
- Hired staff is required to have a stable and reliable internet connection with at least 20MBPS for both download AND upload speed.
