About the Role
We are hiring a Pool Design & Drafting Specialist to create custom pool and outdoor living designs using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Pool Studio, and Vip3D while ensuring structural accuracy, site feasibility, and construction-ready layouts.
This role owns pool design development, technical drafting, site constraint analysis, and design revisions for residential outdoor living projects. The ideal candidate combines strong drafting expertise with a detail-oriented approach to creating accurate, buildable designs that align with client requirements and property conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create custom pool and outdoor living designs based on client specifications, property boundaries, and site constraints.
- Develop accurate technical drawings, layouts, and construction-ready design plans.
- Build and refine designs using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Pool Studio, Vip3D, or similar design software.
- Analyze site dimensions, setbacks, grading considerations, and structural requirements to minimize redesigns and construction issues.
- Collaborate closely with sales, construction, and project stakeholders to execute design revisions quickly and accurately.
- Maintain highly organized project files, design assets, revision histories, and documentation.
- Participate in real-time collaboration during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
- Respond promptly to design requests, feedback, and revision needs while maintaining design quality and accuracy.
- Ensure all designs align with project specifications, engineering constraints, and client expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and technical drafting.
- Experience creating construction layouts, site plans, and residential design drawings.
- Advanced experience with Structure Studios (Pool Studio/Vip3D) is highly preferred.
- Ability to learn new design platforms quickly and adapt to established workflows.
- Strong understanding of geometric precision, site measurements, and drafting standards.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining responsiveness and accountability.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working with residential pool builders, landscape architecture firms, or civil engineering teams.
- Experience with Lumion or similar rendering software.
- Knowledge of residential drainage, grading plans, and setback requirements.
- Familiarity with U.S. residential construction standards and permitting considerations.
