We are seeking an experienced
Architect with a strong background in
U.S. residential wood-frame production work to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in
AutoCAD and has extensive experience producing accurate and coordinated
construction documents (CDs) for single-family and/or multi-family residential projects in the United States.
This role is heavily focused on production and documentation. Candidates must be able to demonstrate prior work on
U.S. wood-frame residential projects, including examples of construction document sets. Experience with
3D renderings or walkthroughs is considered a plus, but it is
not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce complete and accurate construction document (CD) sets for U.S. residential wood-frame projects.
- Prepare architectural drawings including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and specifications.
- Coordinate drawing sets with consultants, engineers, and internal project teams.
- Revise drawings based on redlines, client comments, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. building codes, zoning requirements, and residential construction standards.
- Maintain drafting standards, file organization, and project documentation throughout all phases of production.
- Support project teams in meeting production deadlines and deliverable milestones.
- Participate in quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency of construction documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in architectural production.
- Strong expertise in AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated experience preparing construction documents for U.S. wood-frame residential projects.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, detailing, and documentation standards in the United States.
- Ability to work independently and manage production tasks with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with 3D modeling, renderings, or virtual walkthroughs (e.g., SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape, Twinmotion, or similar).
- Experience with Revit is a plus.
- Familiarity with permit and construction administration documentation processes for U.S. residential projects.
