Architect

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Architect / Residential Construction Plan Designer to join our remote team. This role focuses on preparing precise, code-compliant construction documents for modular homes, sheds, cabins, and custom residential projects using Chief Architect and similar architectural drafting software.

This position is best suited for professionals with strong technical discipline, excellent file organization habits, and proven experience preparing permit-ready and inspection-ready residential plan sets. Accuracy, consistency, and the ability to follow templates and standards are critical for success.

Key Responsibilities

Modular Home Construction Documents

• Prepare TPIA-ready construction documents using Chief Architect
• Work from company templates and existing project files
• Ensure compliance with state modular housing requirements
• Apply all relevant residential building codes

Shed & Cabin Plan Documentation

• Produce permit-ready construction documents
• Follow template-based workflows
• Ensure jurisdiction-specific code compliance

Custom Residential Plan Sets

• Detail and annotate custom home plans
• Ensure compliance with IRC and state residential codes
• Produce clean, organized, permit-ready drawings

Plan Revisions & Coordination

• Update drawings based on feedback
• Maintain strict version control
• Communicate with internal team regarding revisions

Project File Management

• Maintain structured file organization
• Track revisions and current versions
• Ensure documentation is audit-ready

Software Requirements

• Required: Chief Architect
• Accepted alternative experience:
• Revit
• Archicad

Compensation & Benefits

Work Setup: 100% Remote

Compensation: Up to $8/hour
