Position Responsibilities

  • Prepare client financial statements
  • Maintain & review General Ledger, AP, AR
  • Prepare client month-end close for enterprise clients
  • Review month end financials prepared by team members
  • Communicate and build relationships with clients 
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to team of direct reports
  • Manage system approvals for required business applications
  • Participate in onboarding/offboarding of team members (interviewing, hiring, selection, replacement requests, etc.)
  • Delegate tasks to team members and ensure client assignments are appropriately distributed and balanced across the team
  • Conduct monthly internal training for the team (soft/technical skills)
  • Conduct performance evaluations at set frequencies and deliver feedback regularly to ensure the success of the team members
  • Participate in meetings (attending and facilitating) with managers, peers, and others
  • Review existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Create new processes to streamline tasks and maximize team member efficiency

Qualiications

  • Experience with Factura.ai is highly preferred
  • Licensed CPA is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Sage Intacct and advanced Microsoft Excel skills is highly desirable
  • Strong foundation in accounting; a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • At least 5–7 years of US accounting experience
  • Prior experience in a managerial role (minimum of 3 years) is highly preferred
  • Proven track record in managing multiple clients simultaneously
  • Highly independent, resourceful, and self-driven, while also being a collaborative team player
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to understand the bigger picture and how financial elements interconnect within a client's business
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a remote team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive and self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision
  • A critical thinker who challenges the status quo and goes beyond simply following instructions
  • High level of emotional intelligence and maturity, with the ability to manage shifting priorities efficiently and effectively
