About the Role
As an Appraiser, you will be responsible for performing inspections, conducting research, and preparing appraisal reports for inspected properties. Responsible for providing assistance to the team head in monitoring appraisal requests and training new appraisers from time to time.
How you'll contribute
- Conducts physical inspections of property and verifies related documents with various government agencies for the purpose of establishing rightful ownership of the property, the authenticity of the title provided, legal impediments and encumbrances, and the desirability of the property as collateral, particularly in terms of marketability and acceptability.
- Prepares an evaluation of building or developmental projects applied for bank financing.
- Prepares appraisal reports in accordance with established bank guidelines and appraisal standards within the prescribed TAT.
- Assists the Team Head in managing the day-to-day operations of the unit and ensuring compliance with the Credit Operations Manual.
- Executes the Credit Operations Manual and Credit Appraisal Operations Manual in the performance of assigned tasks such as, but not limited to: Asset/Property and Collateral Inspection and Valuation, Developer's Project Accreditation as well as Title Verification.
What we're looking for
- Preferably a Licensed Appraiser, Civil Engineer, or Real Estate Broker (but not required)
- With at least 2–3 years of relevant experience in property appraisal, valuation, or real estate inspection
- Strong knowledge of real estate laws, property valuation principles, and appraisal standards
- Experience in title verification, property inspection, and coordination with government agencies (e.g., Registry of Deeds, Assessor's Office)
- Familiarity with banking or financial institution appraisal processes is an advantage
- Proficient in preparing detailed appraisal reports within prescribed turnaround times (TAT)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple appraisal requests and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to conduct fieldwork and property inspections
- Amenable to work in Cebu
