About the Role
We are seeking an Applications Analyst to join our growing Applications team at IPH Limited in Manila.
This role is ideal for a technically strong, detail-oriented professional with demonstrated experience supporting, configuring, and enhancing enterprise and business-critical applications. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, project teams, and third-party vendors to ensure our applications are stable, secure, and continuously evolving to meet business needs.
The role includes supporting specialized platforms, including Intellectual Property management systems, and will suit someone who brings prior experience with tools such as Anaqua or similar systems, or has the capability to quickly ramp up in complex, domain-specific applications.
Reporting into the Applications Services Manager (CAN), the Applications Analyst will contribute across the full application lifecycle, from analysis and design through implementation, support, and ongoing optimization, while collaborating with a global IT team supporting users across Canada.

Timing: 9.00 PM - 6.00 AM (Philippines Time) with 1 hour break
What You'll Do
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for enterprise and business-critical applications, databases, and associated scripting components
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement scalable, sustainable solutions
- Develop and optimize database queries and scripts to support data extraction, reporting, and analysis
- Monitor and maintain application and database performance, including applying patches, upgrades, and configuration enhancements
- Support delivery across the full application lifecycle (analysis, design, testing, deployment, and transition to BAU)
- Adhere to SDLC and formal change management processes, producing high-quality technical documentation
- Participate in defect triage, data-related initiatives (including data warehouse updates), and continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to troubleshoot issues, coordinate testing, and drive timely resolution
- Support and enhance specialized or domain-specific systems (e.g., IP management platforms such as Anaqua), including workflow, data, and reporting components
- Provide end-user support and targeted training, ensuring effective adoption of applications and tools
- Take ownership of assigned systems, proactively identifying opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and user experience
What You'll Bring
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting enterprise or business-critical applications in an Applications Analyst or similar role
- Proven experience installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise applications and relational databases
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Experience with Anaqua or similar Intellectual Property (IP) Management systems (e.g., CPA Global, IPfolio, PatSnap) is highly desirable
- Experience working with vendor-supported or SaaS-based enterprise applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot moderately to highly complex issues
- Bonus - Exposure to legal, IP, or other domain-specific enterprise systems, particularly those involving workflow, case management, or docketing.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and outcomes, and manage competing priorities
- Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
