Application Support (SQL)

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth business application service operations by resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate smooth transition of application features from development to production environments.
  • Actively develop continuous improvement initiatives and optimization of business application service operations.
  • Assist in the automation of existing manual activities to improve the consistency and efficiency of business application service delivery to end-users.
  • Effectively communicate to stakeholders as part of incident/problem management.
  • Manage escalations related to operational topics.

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in SQL development
  • Proficient in writing queries, stored procedures, functions, and troubleshooting database performance issues
  • Experience in cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage, but not strictly required Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.) is a plus
  • Familiarity with incident and problem management processes
  • Experience using collaboration/ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or similar
  • Understanding of Agile practices (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe) with some release management exposure preferred
  • Strong ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
