Job Description

Role Overview

We are hiring a customer-focused Application Support Engineer with experience or strong interest in the Travel & Airline domain and GDS (Global Distribution Systems).

You will provide 24x7 production support for business-critical applications, ensuring high availability, quick resolution, and seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 support for travel, airline, and GDS-based applications
  • Work on Amadeus, Abacus, Galileo, Sabre, Travelport (Critical requirement)
  • Monitor application alerts, queues, and proactively resolve issues
  • Handle incidents/service requests within SLA using ITSM tools
  • Perform initial root cause analysis and escalate to L2/L3 teams
  • Support customer-facing travel applications used by agents & corporates
  • Participate in P1/P2 incident bridges, shift handovers, and daily reviews
  • Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and documentation
  • Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements/automation

Required Skills

  • Strong communication (verbal & written)
  • Customer-first mindset with ability to work under pressure

Domain Skills (Must Have):

  • Travel domain knowledge (Airline operations / Travel tech platforms)
  • Understanding of booking flows, ticketing, PNRs, profiles
  • Experience with GDS Systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, etc.)
  • ITIL awareness or certification
