Job Description:
Responsible for the analysis, development and implementation of software applications as required by SM Retail. The position also entails system maintenance of the existing applications in production.
- Responsible for quick fixes and ensuring applications are up and running smoothly.
- Investigate and resolve application related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting of systems in production
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.
- Provide minor programming for some in-house IT projects.
- Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a LAMP Developer, Backend Developer, or Full Stack Developer.
- Strong proficiency in PHP (OOP concepts, frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter is a plus).
- Solid understanding of Linux server administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, or similar).
- Experience in configuring and managing Apache web servers.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL database design, queries, and optimization.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript is an advantage.
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
