Application Support Engineer

As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying system anomalies and collaborating with different teams to ensure smooth and uninterrupted service delivery. The position demands continuous monitoring and troubleshooting to maintain system reliability and performance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze user requirements and translate them into application specifications
• Analyze, design, test implement, and maintain application systems or web-based applications
• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system behavior and provide timely resolutions.
• Document findings and solutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
• Assist in the implementation of system updates and patches to improve stability.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues before they impact users.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must have skills as System Analyst
• Expert proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition.
• Experience with Java Standard Edition, Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex software systems.
• Familiarity with application lifecycle management and support processes.
• Ability to analyze logs and system metrics to diagnose issues effectively.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in systems analysis, design (include database design), development, implementation, and quality assurance
• At least 3 years of experience in application development, programming, and systems support
• Good communication, project management, strong anlytical, problem-solving skills
