Role: Software development engineer

Location: Mandaluyong,

Duration: Long term Contract

Shift Schedule: 6AM 4PM, Monday to Friday

Work Set up: Hybrid

Number of years experiences needed: 5+ years for Kotlin

Job Description:

As a Software Development Engineer, you will engage in a variety of tasks that include analyzing, designing, coding, and testing multiple components of application code across various clients. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to perform maintenance and enhancements, as well as developing new features to improve application functionality. You will also be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of the code you produce, while actively participating in team discussions and decision-making processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Expected to be an SME.

- Collaborate and manage the team to perform.

- Responsible for team decisions.

- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.

- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.

- Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team skills and capabilities.

- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of tasks.

- Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members.

Professional & Technical Skills:

- Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Kotlin Programming Language.

- Additional Good To Have Skills: Experience with Java Enterprise Edition.

- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.

- Proficiency in using version control systems such as Git.

- Experience with backend development frameworks, particularly Spring Boot.

- Familiarity with database management and design principles.

Must have and Good to have skills:

Must know Kotlin or Java - preferably Kotlin experience

Must know Spring Boot

Must know React

Must know Node.js

Predominately back-end developer. Full stack a bonus

AWS experience is desirable. Other cloud platforms is acceptable

Experience with Auth0 (or OAuth2) is ideal

Experience with Kafka and Database is preferable. Must have at least one

Must understand agile and automated testing i.e. unit tests, integration tests, functional tests

Must understand build pipeline (CI - continuous integration). Understanding CD (continuous deployment) is preferable.
