Job Description

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor level university college degree or higher in Tax or accounting preferred.
  • CPA is a plus
  • Minimum of 0-2 years relevant working experience is normally required.

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of theories/concepts and practices of Tax
  • Basic knowledge in SAP and other connected applications [OneSource (Sabrix), is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, Alteryx and other data analytics and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Developing knowledge of Philippine taxation laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong self-management and initiative.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and analyzes differences between tax calculations in SAP and OneSource (OTD), validating data against source documents such as invoices and proof of delivery.
  • Evaluates data to ensure correct tax treatment and supports timely, accurate tax reporting.
  • Prepares data analytics and reports for the Tax organization and other stakeholders, with guidance from a Specialist or Supervisor when needed.
  • Performs tax account reconciliations.
  • Collaborates with various teams and may lead activities related to tax compliance, governance, or special/adhoc projects.
  • Prepares and files tax returns and related reports.
  • Processes tax payments and monitors the collection of tax refunds.
  • Participates in ad-hoc activities such as internal or external audits and tax audits, taking ownership and initiative over assigned tasks.
