Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification preferred or in progress
- Preferably a CPA with 1 to 2 years work experience
- A minimum of 0-1 year relevant working experience is normally required.
We prefer candidates with Tax Compliance experience
- Demonstrates basic understanding of tax concepts, with the ability to apply them to routine
- transaction checks within their work scope.
- Develops knowledge of the assigned area of responsibility and 3M/multi-national company
- (MNC) structure, organization, and business;
- Uses ERP and tax systems for routine tasks and applies basic MS Office applications, (i.e. MS
- Excel) needed to support daily compliance activities.
- Demonstrates basic written and spoken English skills; able to communicate clearly with peers and follow standard communication protocols.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Demonstrates basic understanding of tax concepts, with the ability to apply them to routine
- transaction checks within their work scope.
- Works on routine to low–medium complexity Tax compliance activities and low–medium risk
- returns, within clearly defined process boundaries and deliverables.
- Executes tasks using established templates, checklists, and data flows, ensuring adherence to
- defined processes and controls.
- Investigates basic issues or straightforward discrepancies using available instructions or SOP;
- summarizes findings and recommends next steps or escalation.
- Adheres to SOPs, internal controls, and documentation standards; prepares complete,
- accurate, and audit‑ready records.
- Prepares accurate workpapers and supporting documentation for reviewer validation and
- addresses basic review comments to support the compliance process.
- Coordinates with peers and data providers to obtain needed information and clarify basic tax
- questions.
- Seeks guidance from senior team members and shares basic information with peers as
- needed.
- Participates in training to build foundational knowledge.
- Supports ad hoc tasks as assigned by the supervisor, ensuring timely and accurate
- completion.
- Uses available tools correctly and identifies manual pain points for potential automation.
- Works under close to moderate supervision; manages tasks using established priorities and
- promptly escalates risks or blockers.
