Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly meticulous and proactive APAC Payroll Specialist to join our HR Shared Services team. In this role, you will manage end-to-end payroll, timekeeping, and benefits administration across multiple countries in the APAC region. You will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, compliance with local government regulations, and providing excellent first-level support to employee queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll & Compliance: Manage payroll, timekeeping, and benefits tasks while strictly adhering to local government policies and statutory regulations.
  • End-to-End Processing: Ensure the absolute accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of payroll activities according to the processing calendar.
  • Data & System Management: Perform accurate payroll coding, complete thorough payroll reconciliations, and maintain high standards of data integrity.
  • Employee Support: Act as the primary point of contact between HR Shared Services (HRSS) and employees to resolve payroll, tax, and benefits-related queries.
  • Collaboration & Engagement: Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline delivery and participate in employee roadshows or discussions to address pay and benefits questions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process optimization initiatives and complete recommended training programs to continuously upskill.

Job Requirements

Educational Background

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Human Resources, or any related field.

Experience & Technical Knowledge

  • Required Experience: 2 to 5 years of solid experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Regional Exposure: Proven experience in APAC offshore payroll processing within a Shared Services environment.
  • Systems: Proficiency in SAP SuccessFactors and MS Office (especially MS Excel).

Core & Behavioral Competencies (Non-Negotiable)

  • Deep understanding of the complete payroll cycle, including payroll reconciliation, timekeeping, and benefits administration.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high appreciation for data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

  • Direct experience handling payroll processing for Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, particularly for automation, macros, and complex reporting.
  • An operational excellence mindset with a collaborative, team-based work style.
  • Strong customer-service orientation when handling employee concerns.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and independently develop new domain knowledge.

Work Conditions & Benefits

  • Work Setup: Hybrid arrangement (at least 2 to 3 times a week onsite, or as required by the Immediate Supervisor).
  • Schedule: Standard shift, but must be willing to work overtime depending on business and payroll peak cycle needs.
