Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
  • Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
  • Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
  • Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Maintains historical records by microfilming and filing documents
  • Disburses petty cash by recording entry and verifying documentation
  • Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Help with 1099 preparation and collecting W9s
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and preparation of journal entries for accruals and variances

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and more than seven years of experience in finance or accounting or a related area
  • CPA is a plus
  • General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion in a supervisory role
  • Knowledge and experience in using MS Dynamics and Bill.com is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP is a plus
  • Experience developing financial reports and metrics
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects across an organization
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

System requirements:

  • Computer Processor: At least i5 5th generation for both primary and back up computers
  • Computer Memory/RAM: At least 8.00 GB for both primary and back up computers
  • Computer OS: Windows 10 or 11
  • Extra monitor
  • Computer must have a licensed MS Office installed
  • Internet speed must be running on a 20+ Mbps wired plan (at least 10 Mbps for back up connection)
