About the Role
Our Risk and Compliance teams are a cornerstone of our business, and we are looking for an experienced AML Compliance Specialist to help ensure adherence to internal policies, local financial services laws, and applicable regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
As a licensed financial services provider operating in multiple jurisdictions, we maintain a comprehensive Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), and Fraud Risk Management program. The AML Compliance Specialist will play a key role in conducting complex investigations, supporting regulatory reporting, strengthening transaction monitoring controls, and driving continuous improvement within the AML function.
This role requires a strong understanding of AML/CTF regulations, sound investigative judgment, and the ability to identify emerging risks and trends. - Prepare, review, and submit regulatory filings (e.g., SAR/STR) in accordance with jurisdictional requirements and internal standards.
- Review and provide guidance on escalated cases from internal teams and third-party AML investigators, ensuring investigative quality and consistency.
- Identify and analyze patterns, typologies, and emerging risks related to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and other financial crimes.
- Recommend and support enhancements to transaction monitoring rules, controls, and investigative procedures based on risk trends and regulatory developments.
- Evaluate monitoring reports, risk indicators, and internal controls to ensure effective compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, Product, and Operations teams to operationalize AML controls for new products, features, and jurisdictions.
- Support responses to law enforcement requests, regulatory inquiries, internal audits, and examinations as required.
- Contribute to the development of AML policies, procedures, training materials, and operational playbooks.
- Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to junior investigators and support overall team capability building.
- Promote a strong culture of compliance, accountability, and risk awareness across the organization.
You Have
- At least 3 years of experience in AML/CTF, financial crime investigations, or compliance within fintech, payments, banking, or a regulated financial services environment.
- Demonstrated experience handling complex investigations and filing regulatory reports (e.g., SAR/STR).
- Strong working knowledge of AML/CTF laws, regulatory expectations, and financial crime typologies.
- Experience identifying transactional patterns, assessing risk, and determining appropriate escalation or reporting actions.
- Exposure to transaction monitoring systems, case management tools, and risk-based investigative frameworks.
- Experience contributing to AML program improvements, control enhancements, or operational process optimization.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, work independently, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
