About the Venture
We are an emerging fintech startup currently in the pre-registration phase, dedicated to revolutionizing the payment remittance landscape in the Philippines. We are building a high-performance, secure, and transparent platform to empower users with seamless financial connectivity. As we scale toward our launch and regulatory licensing, we are looking for a strategic compliance leader to join our core team.

The Role
This is not a traditional 9-to-5 position. We are looking for a Founding AML Officer to join our Board of Directors. You will be a key stakeholder in our journey, providing the regulatory oversight necessary to navigate the Philippine financial ecosystem.
This is a remote, contract-based role designed for an expert who believes in the long-term value of our platform.

Key Responsibilities
1. Board Governance: Serve as a member of the Board of Directors, advising on risk appetite, regulatory trends, and corporate governance.
2. Policy Oversight: Review and optimize our existing AML/KYC policy documents to ensure they meet BSP and international standards.
3. Compliance Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for AML-related inquiries and ensure the platform's operations align with the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA).
4. Strategic Optimization: While the initial policy framework is in development, you will be responsible for refining these processes and implementing best-in-class compliance workflows.
5. Risk Assessment: Identify potential systemic risks within the remittance flow and propose technical or procedural mitigations.

Qualifications
1. Deep understanding of Philippine AML regulations (BSP Manual of Regulations for Non-Bank Financial Institutions).
2. Experience in the fintech, payments, or remittance sector.
3. Previous experience as a Compliance Officer or in a regulatory oversight role.
4. A builder mindsetcomfortable joining an early-stage venture before formal registration is complete.
5. Excellent communication skills for high-level board discussions.

Compensation & Terms
As a founding-level contributor, your compensation is tied to the growth and success of the company:
- Role Type: Remote, Contract-based.
- Compensation: 3% Profit Share (capped at $80,000 annually as the company scales).
- Equity/Incentive: Direct seat on the Board of Directors with a voice in the company's strategic direction.
