Job Title: AML & Compliance Manager
About the Role
The AML & Compliance Manager will lead the organization's Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), and Sanctions Compliance programs. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of AML policies, managing financial crime risks, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the successful candidate will partner closely with business leaders, risk management, legal, audit, and regulatory stakeholders to drive a strong culture of compliance and continuously enhance the company's AML framework. This role closely aligns with the responsibilities expected of AML leaders in regulated consumer finance organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of the organization's AML, CTF, and Sanctions Compliance Program.
- Develop, review, and maintain AML policies, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks.
- Oversee Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Know Your Customer (KYC), and ongoing customer risk assessments.
- Lead transaction monitoring, investigations, suspicious activity reviews, and regulatory reporting, including Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and other required submissions.
- Monitor sanctions screening activities and ensure timely investigation and escalation of potential matches.
- Conduct enterprise-wide AML risk assessments and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Stay current with regulatory developments issued by the BSP, AMLC, SEC, and other relevant regulatory bodies, ensuring timely implementation of regulatory changes.
- Provide AML advisory support for new products, digital initiatives, business projects, and process enhancements.
- Coordinate regulatory examinations, compliance reviews, internal audits, and remediation activities.
- Prepare AML risk reports, management information, and key risk indicators for senior leadership and governance committees.
- Develop and deliver AML awareness and compliance training programs across the organization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop members of the Compliance team while promoting a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Legal Management, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in AML, Compliance, Financial Crime, or Regulatory Compliance within a bank, consumer finance company, fintech, or other regulated financial institution.
- Previous experience leading AML or Compliance teams is highly preferred.

- Ability to influence senior leaders and provide practical, risk-based compliance guidance.
Preferred Qualifications
- CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) certification is highly preferred.
- ICA, CRCM, or other compliance certifications are an advantage.
- Experience in consumer finance, digital lending, banking, fintech, or financial services is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of fraud risk management and financial crime prevention tools is a plus.
