Role Overview
PGMN is looking for an Anchor Video Editor responsible for editing anchor-led videos, commentary segments, and studio-based content. This role focuses on clean storytelling, strong pacing, and accurate execution—ensuring anchor episodes are polished, engaging, and aligned with PGMN's editorial standards.
Key Responsibilities
Anchor & Commentary Editing
- Edit anchor-led videos, explainers, and studio commentaries.
- Ensure clear narrative flow, proper pacing, and emotional continuity.
- Select the best takes and camera angles to support the anchor's delivery.
- Sync footage and perform audio cleanup and leveling.
Visual & Editorial Enhancements
- Insert B-roll, references, charts, headlines, and supporting visuals as needed.
- Add subtitles, lower-thirds, and text overlays following PGMN style.
- Apply basic color correction and maintain visual consistency.
Content Output & Standards
- Prepare videos for publishing on YouTube and social media platforms.
- Follow platform-specific export and formatting requirements.
- Ensure accuracy and quality before final delivery.
Workflow & Collaboration
- Work closely with anchors, producers, and writers in-office.
- Follow the internal workflow: Offline Cut → Insert Notes → Final Cut.
- Meet daily and weekly deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
Qualifications
- Experience editing anchor-led, news, or commentary-style videos.
