Provide corporate advisory services, specialisting in business valuation for financial reporting, M&A and other transactions.

Job Summary

We are recruiting analysts who wish to pursue a career in business valuation profession. The analyst will have exposure to various business valuation projects such as fund raising, merger & acquisition, feasibility studies and valuation projects. Additionally, the role will have direct client interaction in managing business valuation assignments and opportunity to travel overseas.

Responsibilities

  • Perform independent valuations of businesses, intellectual property, and financial instruments to support mergers and acquisitions, dispute resolution, financial reporting, and restructuring outcomes
  • Conduct market and industry research to inform valuation approaches and develop robust financial models for analysis and reporting
  • Draft comprehensive valuation reports and assist in preparing proposals, engagement letters, marketing materials, and technical documents to support new project pitches
  • Coordinate effectively with clients, auditors, and other professionals to ensure smooth execution and delivery of valuation projects
  • Undertake site visits to gain operational insights and validate business information as required
  • Support client and deal sourcing activities by preparing targeted marketing materials and engaging potential clients
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with senior management and stakeholders to facilitate project success and business growth
  • Operate independently while contributing collaboratively within a team environment on cross-border assignments within the APAC region

Required competencies and certifications

  • Relevant academic background with a professional qualification in accounting, finance, CFA, CVA or FRM
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of valuation experience within an accounting or professional services firm
  • Strong grasp of business and intangible asset valuation concepts, with proficiency in financial instruments valuation considered an advantage
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and report-writing skills applied in business valuation contexts
  • Ability to understand financial issues within a commercial context and work autonomously
