Analyst Programmer (w/ experience in ASP.NET, MSQL, HTML, MS DevOps, Visual Studio & Github)

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• To create, maintain and develop all aspects of the SGS TFS software products and to play a proactive role in the innovation and development of new software.

• To provide 2nd or 3rd line support of software if/when requested, and ensure prompt resolutions to identify issues.

• Help create innovation within the development team

Specific Responsibilities

• At all times, complies with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.

• Work with development team to improve and extend the functionality of existing products and services.

• Assist in the development of new tools and processes to improve productivity.

• Maintain high standards of software development, ensuring release call logs maintain a high initial pass rate.

• Monitor and maintain all software systems and services to ensure our customer SLA's are maintained.

• Update software specifications and documentation in accordance with team working practices.

• Configure and implement customer systems based on requirement specifications.

• Liaise with Help Desk to assist in investigating customer faults and queries.

• Maintain and apply updates to hosted and customer systems.

• Where required, investigate and implement new methods, functionality or systems within the SGS software architecture.

• Remains familiar with SGS quality assurance procedures.

Qualifications

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, or related science

• Min. 5 years industry experience with ASP.Net

• Software development experience

• Microsoft tools and applications experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+ or C1).

Mandatory

• Microsoft development technologies (C#, MVC, .Net Frameworks)

• Microsoft SQL Server

• Web development (HTML, .Net, JavaScript, CSS)

• MS DevOps, Visual Studio & GitHub AI

Desirable

• Understanding of global trade requirements and trade documentation

• Understanding of customs (HMRC) import and export procedures

• Agile development

• VUE.js

Additional Information

• Hybrid work arrangement may differ depending on affiliate country, should be amenable to be onsite for 2 to 6 months.
