Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a
Finance Analyst.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, forecasting, and analysis to support key business decisions. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
What are the Roles and Responsibilities
- Financial data preparation, Reporting and Consolidation – Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with PFRS/IFRS and support periodic reporting requirements. Gather, validate, and consolidate financial data from subsidiaries, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Closing & Reporting Processes – Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring timely submission of reports (e.g. Flash reports, Excom, JG Group report submission)
- Financial Analysis – Prepare variance analysis, trend, and ratio analyses and highlight key movements for management review and support adhoc financial analyis and special projects as required
- Management & External Reporting – Prepare reports, schedules, and supporting analyses for internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Quarter and Annual Financial Statements)
- Audit & Compliance Support – Assist in audit requirements, Financial Statements preparation (quarter and annual reports), maintain reporting templates/systems, and ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies.
- Business Partnering & Planning Support – Coordinate and collaborate with business units (Domestic & International) on data requirements and provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis, including active involvement in finance-related projects
What are the Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Finanacial Management Systems, Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Consolidation Tool (e.g. BPC, Onestream, SAP or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
