About The Role
As the Amazon PPC Manager, you'll lead and optimize advertising strategy across multiple marketplaces. This role goes beyond campaign execution; you will own the planning, performance, and continuous improvement of Amazon PPC initiatives. Working closely with data, creative, and operations teams, you will drive profitability and ensure advertising aligns with broader business goals.
Responsibilities
- PPC Strategy & Execution Own the planning, setup, and optimization of Sponsored Products & Sponsored Brands campaigns across multiple marketplaces (US, CA, UK).
- Campaign Optimization Drive profitability through bid adjustments, keyword harvesting, campaign restructuring, and placement strategy refinements.
- KPI Monitoring & Analysis Track and analyze campaign performance by placements, monitoring ACOS, TACOS, CTR, CVR, CPC, and both organic and sponsored rank to identify growth opportunities and risks.
- Bulk File Management Manage campaigns at scale through fluent use of bulk file uploads, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in large-scale optimizations.
- Data Analysis & Insights Interpret PPC and sales performance data, leveraging Excel, Google Sheets, Helium 10, Scale Insights, Sellerboard, and Power BI dashboards to uncover opportunities.
- Tool Utilization Apply advanced functions in Excel/Sheets (pivot tables, nested formulas, lookups, conditional logic) and integrate PPC tools for big data analysis.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Communicate insights clearly and collaborate with inventory, creative, and operations teams to align PPC activities with stock, content, and business priorities.
- Performance Reporting Deliver regular reports with actionable insights, highlighting campaign wins, risks, and opportunities for scaling.
- Continuous Improvement Test new strategies, adopt best practices, and proactively identify opportunities for efficiency and growth with minimal oversight.
- Market Awareness Stay current on Amazon advertising trends, automation tools, and algorithm changes to maintain competitive performance.
Competencies And Qualifications
Must-Have
- PPC Expertise (Amazon, Google, Meta OR TikTok): At least 2 years of hands-on experience managing PPC campaigns on at least one major advertising platform. While Amazon experience is a plus, we are fully prepared to train candidates with strong alternative PPC backgrounds who have a proven track record of managing performance-based ads.
- Strategic Data Analyst: You look beyond basic reports to find the why behind the numbers. You excel at merging data from different sources to create a complete performance picture that turns insights into a winning growth strategy.
- AI-Powered Productivity: Competent in using AI Chatbots (ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) to streamline your workflow. You know how to use AI to draft high-converting ad copy, troubleshoot complex formulas, and speed up daily tasks.
- Strategic Growth Mindset: Experienced in building and executing growth strategies that prioritize long-term brand scaling over simple efficiency targets like ACOS or ROAS.
- Platform Agility & Learning Drive: A demonstrated ability to quickly master new advertising ecosystems and a strong willingness to deep-dive into Amazon's unique bidding algorithms and ad types (Sponsored Products, Brands, Display & Amazon Marketing Cloud - AMC).
- Data Tool Mastery: Expert-level skills in Excel/Google Sheets, including pivot tables, nested formulas, lookups, and conditional logic for large-scale data manipulation.
- Advanced Bulk Operations: Proficiency in managing campaigns at scale through bulk file operations (or equivalent large-scale management tools in Google/Meta).
- Independence: The ability to work independently, take full ownership of accounts, and drive performance with minimal oversight.
Nice-to-Have
- Amazon Specifics: Familiarity with Amazon-specific tools such as Helium 10, Scale Insights, or Sellerboard.
- Automation Experience: Experience building or implementing scripts/rules to replace manual tasks and scale campaign efficiency.
- Data Visualization: Experience leveraging Power BI, Tableau, or similar dashboards to present actionable insights.
