With demand growing and operations expanding, the team is now focused on accelerating sales, improving processes, and laying the groundwork for long-term success. They're looking for top-tier talent to help take the business to the next level.
About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth Amazon business as one of its early hires. Our client is already seeing strong performance and is entering an exciting phase of expansion, making this the ideal time to come on board and play a pivotal role in scaling their operations, with direct ownership and influence over expansion into additional European markets.
As an Amazon Operations Manager, you will own the account end-to-end: from inventory forecasting and inbound logistics to listing management, account health, and operational strategy. You will manage a lean, high-performing team, ensuring smooth day-to-day execution while building scalable processes to support the next stage of growth. You will also define and execute pricing and promotional frameworks across Amazon marketplaces, ensuring competitive pricing while protecting margin. This includes ownership of promotions, deal strategy, event planning, and ongoing price optimisation informed by performance data, competitive dynamics, and inventory position.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing AGL shipments, EU marketplace operations, private label product launches, catalogue optimisation, and compliance with Amazon policies. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure operational decisions support both short-term performance and long-term profitability.
We are looking for someone with deep experience in Amazon Seller Central, strong inventory and forecasting skills, and the ability to review and finalise high-converting listings. Exposure to EU markets and cross-border logistics is highly valued, as is the ability to lead a small, agile team effectively.
As an early member of the team, you won't just be managing operations - you'll be shaping and refining the processes, standards, and strategy that will enable the business to scale efficiently and sustainably. If you are ambitious, data-driven, and operationally excellent, this is an opportunity to have real ownership and impact in a rapidly scaling Amazon business.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end Amazon operations with a strong focus on inventory management, forecasting, and replenishment to avoid stockouts and overstocking.
- Manage EU marketplace operations, including VAT compliance, cross-border shipments, and local marketplace requirements.
- Manage and optimise AGL (Amazon Global Logistics) and other inbound shipments for timely delivery and compliance.
- Partner closely with the Director on operational and commercial strategy, contributing to growth planning, margin improvement initiatives, and long-term scalability.
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to increase sales, improve rankings, and drive traffic on Amazon, including ownership of promotions, deal strategy, and event planning, with ongoing price optimisation informed by performance data, competitive dynamics, and inventory position.
- Oversee product listings from creation to final approval, ensuring high-quality copy, accurate attributes, and full compliance with Amazon policies.
- Define and deliver scalable product launch frameworks for new private label products across Amazon marketplaces, ensuring disciplined execution and continuous post-launch improvement.
- Oversee Amazon PPC strategy and performance, working closely with a PPC specialist to drive efficiency, optimise spend, and ensure advertising activity supports overall growth, profitability, and inventory objectives.
- Lead a lean operations team, providing clear direction, prioritisation, and mentorship to ensure smooth day-to-day execution.
- Own account health, proactively resolving or delegating the resolution of suppressed listings, stranded inventory, and policy-related issues.
- Track and analyse operational and commercial KPIs, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, growth, and risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Amazon Account Managers and key third-party service providers.
Essential skills and qualifications:
- 5+ years proven experience managing Amazon operations, with strong ownership of inventory forecasting, replenishment, and stock optimisation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon listing copy, including reviewing and approving final content for high-converting product pages.
- Proven ability to manage pricing and promotional strategies on Amazon, balancing growth, conversion, and margin.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret Amazon data and operational KPIs to inform decision-making and prioritisation.
- Experience overseeing Amazon PPC performance and working effectively with PPC specialists to drive efficiency and alignment with broader business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a lean team, providing clear direction, effective delegation, and accountability.
- Experience managing AGL shipments and coordinating inbound logistics.
- Comfortable operating across EU marketplaces, including VAT, compliance, and cross-border inventory management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate operational issues and resolve them proactively.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
The profile we're looking for:
- A proven track record of driving sustained sales growth on Amazon, using a combination of operational excellence, pricing, promotions, and execution discipline.
- Strong expertise in Amazon search optimisation and ranking improvement, with a clear understanding of the levers that drive visibility and discoverability.
- Demonstrated ability to increase traffic, both organically and through coordinated commercial and promotional initiatives.
- A strong commercial and operational mindset around inventory planning, with the ability to balance stock availability, cash flow, promotions, and growth across multiple marketplaces.
- A strong focus on customer experience and satisfaction, ensuring operational decisions support high review quality, low returns, and long-term brand trust.
- Experience improving listing click-through rates through high-quality content, optimisation, and effective use of merchandising best practices.
- A track record of improving cost efficiency, including fulfilment, logistics, and operational processes, while protecting service levels.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with experience streamlining operations, reducing friction, and improving speed, accuracy, and scalability.
