About The Role
As an Amazon Catalog Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company's product catalog on Amazon. This includes creating, updating, and optimizing product listings to ensure they are accurate, compliant, and properly structured for search visibility and sales performance.
This is an execution-focused role that will work closely with the Account Manager, following established guidelines and direction to maintain listing quality, resolve catalog issues, manage product variations, and support overall catalog health. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of Amazon's catalog management tools and processes.
Responsibilities
- Product Listing Management: Create, update, and maintain Amazon listings, including titles, descriptions, bullet points, images, backend keywords, and product variations.
- Feed File and Bulk Upload Management: Work with Amazon feed files and bulk upload templates to create, update, and maintain product listings accurately and efficiently.
- Compliance and Quality Control: Review listings for accuracy, compliance, and quality, while helping resolve suppressed, blocked, or incorrect listings.
- Issue Resolution and Case Management: Track, manage, and follow up on Seller Central cases related to catalog and listing issues.
- Inventory Support: Ensure catalog availability is accurately reflected when required, while coordinating with the supply chain team as needed.
- Reporting: Generate reports on catalog performance, sales data, listing health, inventory levels, and category performance for the Account Manager.
- Promotions and Marketing: Set up coupons, promotional offers, discount codes, Vine enrollment, A/B testing, and Amazon Attribution links as needed.
- Shipment and Fulfillment: Support shipment creation and inventory replenishment processes to ensure timely stock availability.
- Account and Performance Management: Conduct daily account and catalog audits to monitor performance standards and identify areas needing attention.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Account Manager and internal teams to ensure catalog activities align with broader business and marketing goals.
Competencies And Qualifications
Must-Have
- 1-3 years of experience in Amazon catalog management or a similar role in e-commerce.
- Strong understanding of Amazon's Seller Central, including listing management, inventory control, and compliance requirements.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks accurately under direction.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with tools in Amazon Seller Central like flat file uploads and inventory management systems.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and troubleshoot catalog-related issues effectively.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, able to follow instructions and report clearly to the Account Manager.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team, taking direction and supporting the overall objectives set by the Account Manager.
Nice-to-Have
- Amazon Seller Central Certification or relevant training
- Experience working in the e-commerce sector, particularly within the Amazon Marketplace.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles as they relate to product listings on Amazon
- Familiarity with Monday.com or similar project management platforms
- Experience using Slack or similar team communication tools.
- Working knowledge of Claude, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools
