Akamai Level 3 Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 support for complex Akamai incidents, service requests, problems, and changes.
• Troubleshoot CDN, caching, origin connectivity, DNS, SSL/TLS, and web security issues.
• Manage and support Akamai Property Manager, Edge DNS, WAF, App & API Protector, Bot Manager, and related services.
• Perform configuration reviews, policy updates, and technical assessments.
• Support major incidents, root cause analysis, and service improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain runbooks, technical documentation, and knowledge articles.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to L1/L2 support teams.
• Liaise with Akamai Support, infrastructure teams, and application teams during issue resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in CDN, Web Security, or Akamai operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Akamai CDN
• Property Manager
• Edge DNS
• WAF / App & API Protector
• SSL/TLS Certificate Management
• Incident, Problem, and Change Management
• Experience troubleshooting caching, traffic routing, security events, and policy configurations.
• Knowledge of APIs, scripting, and automation is preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant Akamai certifications are highly desirable.
