Resettlement Specialist
About This Role
Lead community engagement and resettlement initiatives for infrastructure and development projects. Manage stakeholder relations, social impact assessments, and livelihood restoration programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement resettlement action plans
- Conduct community consultations and stakeholder engagement
- Assess and mitigate social and economic impacts
- Design livelihood restoration programs
- Monitor compliance and prepare reports
- Maintain transparent communication with affected communities
Education
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Community Development, Sociology, Anthropology, Economics, Development/Project Management, or Civil Engineering
Experience
- Minimum 5 years in resettlement, community development, or social impact management
- Minimum 3 years managing resettlement projects or community engagement
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of international resettlement standards (World Bank, IFC, ADB)
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Cultural sensitivity and project management experience
- Local language fluency (advantage)
