The Qualifications We Seek
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (BE / BTech / BSc / BCA)
- Master's degree (ME / MTech / MSc) is an advantage but not required
Backend & APIs
- 5+ years of full stack software engineering or software development experience
- Strong experience with Node.js and Express
- Experience with Python services, integrations, or AI consumption
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and other database technologies
- Strong experience with REST and GraphQL APIs
Frontend
- Experience with Angular and/or React / NextJS
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance, and usability
- Well-versed in micro frontends and reusable UI components
Cloud & DevOps
- Strong experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Docker; Kubernetes exposure is a plus
Engineering Fundamentals
- Strong knowledge of system design and microservices architecture
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
Nice to Have
- Experience with Redis or caching mechanisms
- Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms
- Experience working with enterprise SaaS platforms
- Prior startup or fast-scaling company experience
Soft Skills Required
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to translate complex AI / ML and chatbot testing concepts into actionable plans
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, especially in validating chatbot conversations, predictive models, and workflow integrations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with AI / ML engineers, data scientists, developers, product managers, and product owners in fast-paced environments
- Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate AI / ML, chatbot, and scalability challenges while proactively driving solutions
Your Daily Tasks
Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Lead day-to-day engineering execution across backend, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams
- Own system design and architecture for core AI-powered platforms and products
- Ensure scalable, maintainable, and secure implementations aligned with business objectives
- Collaborate closely with the AI/ML Lead to integrate AI capabilities into production systems
- Participate actively in coding, code reviews, and technical design discussions
Architecture & Engineering Practices
- Design and maintain microservices-based architectures and APIs
- Define and enforce engineering best practices for code quality, design patterns, automated testing, CI/CD, release management, security, and performance
- Review technical designs and provide engineering guidance to development teams
Cloud, DevOps & Reliability
- Manage AWS infrastructure and cloud deployments
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and monitoring practices
- Ensure system reliability, availability, and observability
- Proactively identify and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks
Collaboration & Mentorship
- Work closely with Product Managers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Mentor engineers and support their technical development and growth
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality releases
- Contribute to technical planning, estimations, and sprint execution
