AI-Native App Developer Product & UI/UX

We're hiring a Product App Developer to own growth, gamification, and the core product experience of our app and website.

You'll design and ship high-converting funnels, build engaging game mechanics, and use AI tools (Claude, Codex, Cursor) to turn ideas into live features in days—not weeks.

This is a hands-on role: you'll design in Figma, build in React Native, run A/B tests, and directly impact retention, LTV, and conversion.

Own product at Let's Roam by implementing new product features, gameplay, conversion funnels for our scavenger hunt app and website by creating intuitive engaging experiences - backed by data.

Let's Roam is a startup (est. 2016) that helps people explore the world and connect with each other. Our culturally immersive scavenger hunts help people connect with their environment through team challenges and interactive games, while our corporate virtual team building events offer a fun and sophisticated way of bringing companies together and stay engaged with one another while living in a remote work environment. We plan on growing fast and you will have the opportunity to grow with us. 

We're looking for a highly hands-on App Developer / Product Builder who combines strong development skills, exceptional UI/UX design, product thinking, and advanced AI coding skills. This is not a traditional developer role. 

We want someone who can take an idea from concept → Figma → AI-assisted development → production → optimization.

You should be an advanced user of Claude or Codex, using AI as a core part of your development workflow to build high-quality products dramatically faster.

You will own major parts of our app experience, gamification, conversion funnels, and product development.

Product owner  - Gamification, Conversion Funnel, Design & Development

• Design, build, and continuously improve our app and website.
• Create high-converting UI/UX, screens, and conversion funnels.
• Run A/B tests and use data to improve conversion, retention, and LTV.
• Talk directly with customers and turn feedback into product improvements.
• Improve app speed, reliability, testing, and overall customer experience.
• Take features from idea to production with minimal hand-holding.

Gameplay Ownership - own gameplay, metrics, and game systems across our company

• Design and build games across our scavenger hunts, audio tours, bar crawls, ghost tours, team-building games, and other experiences.
• Create fun game mechanics that increase engagement, completion, and repeat usage.
• Build gamified mobile experiences and low-friction purchase/repeat flows.
• Use customer feedback and data to continuously improve gameplay.

AI-Native Development

• Use Claude, Codex, Cursor, and AI coding agents extensively in your daily workflow.
• Use advanced prompting, context management, and AI orchestration to accelerate development.
• Turn high-level ideas into working prototypes and production features in days, not weeks.
• Review, debug, test, and improve AI-generated code while maintaining high engineering standards.
• Continuously find new ways to use AI to increase development velocity.

Operations improvements & strategic building

• Own important product metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Build internal tools, dashboards, and AI-powered solutions.
• Fix bugs and improve product quality.
• Launch website/app experiments and new product features.

• Strong hands-on experience with Claude, Codex, Cursor, or equivalent AI coding agents.
• Ability to use AI to build real production applications, not just generate code snippets.
• Strong understanding of prompting, AI orchestration, context management, debugging, and reviewing AI-generated code.
• Proven ability to dramatically increase development velocity using AI.

• Strong Figma skills — able to design polished interfaces from scratch.
• Excellent understanding of UI/UX and mobile interaction design.
• Ability to create beautiful, intuitive, conversion-focused, and gamified experiences.
• Strong portfolio of products you have designed and/or built.

• 2+ years of experience in software development, product development, or a similar hands-on role.
• Strong experience with React / React Native / JavaScript.
• Comfortable working across frontend and backend systems.
• Experience shipping and maintaining production applications.
• Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong product instinct and ability to identify high-impact opportunities.
• Ability to connect UX → conversion → engagement → retention → LTV.
• Understanding of gamification and what makes an experience genuinely fun.
• Comfortable owning projects from concept through launch and iteration.
• Strong communication and ability to advocate for your ideas.
