Position Overview

StaffHero is seeking a talented and hands-on AI Engineer to design, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions that improve business operations, automation, and decision-making.

The ideal candidate has strong experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), APIs, automation, and AI applications and can turn business requirements into practical, scalable solutions. This role will work closely with leadership and operational teams to identify opportunities where AI can reduce manual work, improve workflows, and increase efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered applications and automation workflows.
• Integrate LLMs such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar models into business applications.
• Build AI agents, chatbots, workflow automation, and intelligent internal tools.
• Develop and integrate APIs for AI and business applications.
• Create prompts, structured workflows, and evaluation processes to improve AI performance.
• Connect AI solutions with CRM, ATS, HR, and other business systems.
• Identify repetitive processes that can be automated using AI.
• Work with internal teams to understand business requirements and develop practical solutions.
• Test, monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve AI applications.
• Maintain documentation for AI systems, integrations, and workflows.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies, models, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications

Required

• Proven experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Automation Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong experience working with LLMs and generative AI technologies.
• Experience with OpenAI APIs or similar LLM APIs.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, AI agents, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred

• Experience with AI automation platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar tools.
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar AI frameworks.
• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or Chroma.
• Experience integrating AI with CRM, ATS, HRIS, or other business platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience building AI agents and multi-step automated workflows.
• Knowledge of machine learning and data processing.
• Experience using Git/GitHub and modern software development practices.
