Job Description

About Automaid.it.com

Automaid is building a simpler way for people to create AI agents that can use connected tools, carry work forward and automate recurring tasks. Instead of requiring users to build complex workflows, they can describe what they want done and let the agent handle the process.

About the internship

You will work with the founder and engineering team on real AI automation and software engineering tasks. The internship is designed to give you practical experience turning real problems into useful AI-assisted workflows, software features and automations.

You do not need extensive professional experience. We are looking for someone who is curious, willing to learn, able to think through problems independently, and has some practical experience writing code.

What you will do

  • Study real tasks and understand how users or internal teams currently complete them.
  • Break requirements into clear workflows that an AI agent or software feature can execute.
  • Build or improve AI agents, automations, scripts or supporting software features.
  • Write and adjust code where needed for assigned tasks.
  • Test your work, identify problems and improve it when something does not behave as expected.
  • Use tools such as Codex/AI coding assistants, Project management tools such asTrello and Slack as part of the working process.
  • Document what you built and what you learned.

What you will learn

You will learn how to identify work that is suitable for automation, turn an unclear task into a practical workflow, use AI tools as part of software development, test what you build, and improve it through iteration.

Who this is for

You may be suitable if you:

  • Are interested in AI, automation and software engineering.
  • Have some coding experience from school, personal projects, internships or self-directed learning.
  • Think logically and are comfortable investigating how things work.
  • Can work independently, ask useful questions and communicate what you discovered.
  • If you believe being resourceful, a self starter is more important than a degree paper.

What you will receive

  • Direct guidance from the founder and engineering team.
  • Hands-on experience working on real software and automation tasks rather than invented exercises.
  • Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools in an actual working environment.
  • Work that can be discussed in a portfolio, LinkedIn profile or future interview where appropriate.
  • A reference upon satisfactory completion.

Internship arrangement

This is an unpaid, remote internship lasting approximately 6–8 weeks, with an expected commitment of 8–12 hours per week. Working hours are flexible apart from agreed discussions with the team.
