The Agile Coach is responsible for fostering and promoting agile values, principles, and best practices across the organization. This role supports various teams in developing a continuous improvement mindset and delivering high-value outcomes, playing a critical role in scaling agility at the tribe or enterprise level by embedding within teams, providing actionable feedback, and enabling sustainable agile maturity.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Engage with teams through regular participation in ceremonies and day-to-day collaboration to provide coaching and support.
- Deliver individual and team coaching to enhance agile mindset, practices, and performance.
- Facilitate regular performance reviews with team leads and scrum masters to address challenges and align on improvements.
- Review team practices and backlogs to ensure alignment with agile principles.
- Collaborate with leaders to share insights and guide team development.
- Present key metrics and observations to inform leadership decisions.
- Lead retrospectives to reflect on progress and identify improvement opportunities.
- Conduct learning sessions on agile topics—such as Value Stream Mapping—to build capability and promote continuous learning.
- Support ongoing agile transformation efforts across teams and the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or Delivery Lead
- Deep knowledge of agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.
- Strong facilitation, mentoring, and coaching skills
- Experience working in scaled agile environments or with tribes/squads
- Familiarity with agile performance metrics and tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
Nice-to-Haves
- Certifications such as ICP-ACC, Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or equivalent
- Background in enterprise transformation or change management
