About The Team
The Ad Specialist will be responsible for developing and scaling paid media strategies to support Shopee's External Affiliate ecosystem. This role focuses on establishing ad boosting best practices, optimizing affiliate-led ad spend, and enabling affiliates through workshops, frameworks, and data-driven insights to drive sustainable traffic and ROI growth.
Job Description
- Develop and formalize ad boosting principles and playbooks for affiliate-led paid media across key social platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok).
- Design and execute A/B tests on creatives, audiences, formats, and budgets to identify performance drivers and optimization opportunities.
- Analyze campaign performance to derive actionable insights that improve ROAS, CPO, and overall efficiency of affiliate ad spend.
- Partner closely with the External Affiliate and Creator teams to support top affiliates in scaling their paid campaigns effectively.
- Plan and conduct workshops, training sessions, and office hours to upskill affiliates on paid media strategies and optimization techniques.
- Monitor trends in paid social, creator advertising, and affiliate marketing to continuously refine strategies and recommendations.
- Work with internal stakeholders (e.g., marketing, data, product teams) to align on measurement frameworks, tracking, and reporting.
- Create regular performance reports and dashboards to track testing results, learning agendas, and key KPIs.
Requirements
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in digital marketing or paid media (e.g., Meta Blueprint, Google Ads) are a plus.
Experience
- 25 years of hands-on experience in paid social advertising, performance marketing, or growth marketing.
- Proven experience managing and optimizing ad campaigns on platforms such as Meta, TikTok, or similar paid media channels.
- Experience running A/B tests and translating data into clear recommendations.
- Exposure to affiliate marketing, creator marketing, or e-commerce is strongly preferred.
- Experience conducting trainings, workshops, or stakeholder enablement is a plus.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of paid media fundamentals, performance metrics, and optimization levers.
- Highly analytical with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Comfortable working with large datasets, dashboards, and performance reports.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate clearly to creators and affiliates with varying levels of ads expertise.
- Proactive, structured, and able to operate in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
