AFASA Detection Analyst

About the Role

As an AFASA Detection Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing transaction alerts from fraud tools for the early detection of fraudulent transactions. The position is also responsible for analyzing data and trends to prevent/minimize fraud losses by exceeding fraud detection targets, service levels, and TAT while maintaining review quality and providing good customer service.

How you'll contribute

• Monitor and confirm transactions while reviewing key performance metrics, including review, detection, error, and fraud-loss rates.
• Manage account reactivation and deactivation while monitoring blocking/unblocking efficiency, timeliness, and error rates.
• Review and resolve CRM cases while monitoring efficiency, turnaround time (TAT), and error rates
• Evaluate and process manual reports, monitoring timeliness of reviews and submissions while maintaining low error rates.
• Handle requests and inquiries across various channels while maintaining clear communication and prompt issue resolution.
• Report fraud incidents or host system downtime, ensuring timely communication and appropriate escalation.

What we're looking for

• Must have 2-3 years of experience or strong knowledge in fraud detection, fraud prevention, fraud investigations, risk management, or related banking and financial services operations.
• With strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify suspicious activities and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Has proficiency in banking and financial products, services, and processes.
• Has excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while meeting service level and turnaround time (TAT) requirements
• With strong communication skills and the ability to effectively manage inquiries and collaborate with stakeholders.
