Job Description
Role Summary
The AEM Lead will own and guide Adobe Experience Manager solutions from design through delivery. The role requires strong hands-on technical capability, independent decision-making, and the ability to drive architecture and implementation conversations across front-end, back-end, platform, and business teams.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the required technology stack.
- Strong experience in Adobe Experience Manager development and implementation.
- Deep understanding of AEM architecture, frameworks, and platform structure.
- Demonstrated experience operating at lead level, with responsibility for technical direction, solution decisions, and delivery guidance across teams.
Lead-Level Responsibilities and Expectations
- Work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of AEM solution design and technical delivery.
- Lead AEM initiatives and drive solution conversations across engineering, architecture, product, and business teams.
- Facilitate technical discussions, evaluate options, explain trade-offs, and guide teams toward practical decisions.
- Provide end-to-end solution guidance covering architecture, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Set and promote AEM engineering standards, development best practices, code quality, and reusable design patterns.
- Review technical designs and code, identify risks and dependencies, and support timely resolution of complex issues.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical direction to front-end and back-end contributors.
- Communicate technical recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience integrating AEM with external applications and enterprise systems.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and delivery plans.
Assessment Focus
- Depth of hands-on AEM architecture and implementation expertise.
- Ability to work independently and own technical outcomes.
- Experience leading AEM initiatives and cross-team technical discussions.
- Ability to provide end-to-end solution guidance, including integration and deployment considerations.
- Clarity of technical reasoning, decision-making, risk identification, and stakeholder communication.
- Evidence of lead-level scope and accountability, beyond delivery of assigned engineering tasks.
Non-Negotiable Requirements and Flexibility
- Front-end and back-end expertise are both mandatory requirements.
- The requirement is for an AEM Lead, not a mid-level engineer. Candidates must demonstrate the technical depth, scope, independence, and leadership expected of the role.
- Strong hands-on AEM experience and deep understanding of the platform architecture may be considered in lieu of the full 5 years of AEM experience, provided the candidate demonstrates strong technical proficiency and lead-level capability.
