JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced AEM Lead who will take ownership of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions from architecture and design through development, deployment, and production support.

The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on expertise across AEM, Java, REST APIs, React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, combined with the technical leadership required to drive solution design, make independent technical decisions, and guide cross-functional teams.

This is a lead-level technical role, not a mid-level engineering position. The successful candidate will be expected to provide technical direction, evaluate solution options, identify risks, mentor engineers, and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AEM Solution Leadership

Own the end-to-end technical delivery of AEM solutions, from architecture and design through implementation, deployment, and production support.
Lead AEM initiatives and provide technical direction across engineering, architecture, product, and business teams.
Drive solution architecture discussions and recommend scalable, maintainable, and practical technical solutions.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions, architecture, and delivery plans.
Evaluate technical options, explain trade-offs, and guide teams toward effective decisions.
Identify technical risks, dependencies, and potential implementation challenges early in the development lifecycle.

Technical Design & Development

Provide hands-on technical guidance for AEM Sites, components, templates, workflows, and integrations.
Design and develop scalable AEM solutions using established platform architecture and development best practices.
Develop and maintain backend services using Java and RESTful APIs.
Support and guide front-end development using React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Design and implement integrations between AEM and external applications or enterprise systems.
Review technical designs and source code to ensure quality, scalability, security, and maintainability.
Establish and promote reusable design patterns, coding standards, and engineering best practices.

Lead & Mentorship

Mentor engineers and provide technical direction to both front-end and back-end developers.
Facilitate technical discussions and architecture reviews across multiple teams.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Provide guidance on implementation approaches, technical dependencies, and delivery risks.
Support teams in resolving complex technical and production issues.

Delivery & Production Support

Provide end-to-end guidance covering architecture, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and production support.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, planning, technical refinement, and solution discussions.
Review project progress and provide technical recommendations to ensure successful delivery.
Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex AEM, integration, and application issues.
Ensure solutions comply with established architecture, security, development, and quality standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of overall software engineering experience.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the required technology stack.
Strong hands-on experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development and implementation.
Deep understanding of AEM architecture, frameworks, and platform structure.
Demonstrated experience working at a Lead / Technical Lead level.
Proven ability to independently own technical decisions and solution delivery.
Strong experience providing technical direction across multiple engineering teams.
Excellent problem-solving and technical decision-making skills.
Strong stakeholder management and technical communication skills.
